El dia de los muertos

It is not a sad occasion, but a joyous reunion where families visit cemeteries to clean, decorate, and spend the night with the spirits of their departed family members.

The restaurant Flora Farms near by organizes a Day of the Dead Altar Competition, amazing installations, party with a giant buffet! Great time thanks to Clay!

La Catrina is the iconic, elegantly dressed skeleton symbol of Mexico's Day of the Dead (Día de Muertos), created by José Guadalupe Posada to satirize upper-class pretension and remind that death equals all

The Catrinas Festival is typically held from Oct 31 – Nov 2 in San José del Cabo, featuring art installations, workshops, and traditional music. We enjoyed it so much!

Finally Agathe can move in the new house!

We enjoy the beach, movie night, birds

But mostly, work around the house… Cleaning, fixing, creating, crafting and some of us keep an eye on the neighborhood…

Our home is ready for our London family. We are all so excited to see them: Danielle, Arthur, Charlotte et Isabelle!

First day, a cookie exchange with Danielle, Charlotte & Isabelle hosted by a family here in our community.

Some quiet activities in early mornings, massages and facials in late afternoons…

The pool an all time favorite!

An amazing excursion to Cabo Pulmo National Park. The coral reefs are estimated to be 20,000 years old. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, often called "The Aquarium of the World"—a name popularized by Jacques Cousteau. It is home to massive schools of jacks, sea turtles, manta rays, sea lions, and bull sharks. We went with Cabo Pulmo Sport Center and swam with all of them except the sharks! The team was great.

We also saw many whales! We did not take our cameras on the boat so no photos…

Unforgettable adventure about 1 hour from Los Zacatitos. The sun is scorching driving back!

We have a beautiful beach within a 10 mn walk, the water is so clear

We went to La Fortuna for drinks and snacks at Lateral & diner at Zaï Sushi (amazing food). Arthur made a friend…

And we pick up the trash along the way

Arthur’s traditional bond fire on the beach. The girls love their s'mores!

Agathe is hosting a cooking class and diner for us with chef Axle: chocolate and tortillas. Margaritas & guacamole. Clay is spending the evening with us.

Family

We get our first friends visit: Isabelle & Jérôme. Little road trip to Agua Caliente: natural hot springs and diner at Acre

Early February, Isabel & Martin will stay a week before going on our trip to Oaxaca, etc…

We had an early morning drive to Cabo San Lucas for a whale watching excursion

End of March a visit from Clay and his son Wyatt for a belated Bday for Agathe

We keep the fort while Agathe goes sailing for a week: hosting a Mexican family for Semana Santa week end, fixing here and there and most importantly taking care of Ziggy and Sugar

And Isabelle & Jérôme are back exploring real estate here… We visit lots and houses: Grey Cape, James Perse home here in the East cape, Ballena, Chileno Bay, a Discovery Land Company and Zacatitos where their hearts land on a beautiful waterfront lot!

Always the same ones working :)

Sunrise watching Agathe surf is magical. Worth waking up at 4 am so she can be in the water as the sun rises. The desert meeting the beach…

Campers at La Fortuna Beach. I love their creative vans!

With Agathe

Bye Bye Baja, you are amazing!

I will miss picking the butterfly pea flowers in the morning, the pool at 30C / 90F, my evening walks with Ziggy, Sugar and their friend Téa, yoga in the shala with a beautiful view, our nightly sauna + swim + outdoor shower under the passion fruits, our neighbors, the beach, our favorite restaurants: Acre, Zaï, Lateral, Nao, La Lupita, Come a Casa, Codigo, Ballena and Zac’s sometimes… etc… etc…

Bye Bye Los Zacatitos family, we will miss you A LOT!

Bye Bye Casa Kura Kura, we will be back!
