"Casa Kura Kura" Santa Cruz de los Zacatitos BCS Mexico
On November 21st, we go back to start working on the property.
New owners, new name, “Casa Kura Kura” it is! A Guest House / retreat center, Agathe is the host and manager. Kura Kura means Turtle in Indonesian a heart-shaped note to Agathe’s years in Bali
We will spend 2 months there, with a 2 weeks Xmas family vacation in the middle. Vacation very much appreciated, we are exhausted after emptying the house, cleaning, etc…
When we go back the, the Casatita is ready for Agathe but Pierre & I can’t stay in the Casa anymore, it is partly being torn apart. We move into a rental next door.

A short trip to Cabo San Lucas, beautiful view from the house where Agathe was teaching. The coast is “over” built with modern homes in secluded/gated communities and time shares, they call it now “fractional ownerships”! The village has no charm unless you need to buy a Chanel bag! Lots of development along the coast fron Cabo San Lucas & San Jose del Cabo with amazing golfs & luxurious villas & Hotels. San Jose is different, it has a very lively, bit turisty but rather authentic old town & art district. It is charming and has very good restaurants: Sage, Contigo, just to cite a few. Going east of San Jose is The East Cape, it is very different, very wild. That is where we are…
On the last day, we went to an auction for the homeless dogs. It was held in this house on the beach of our little community of Santa Cruz de los Zacatitos, what a view! We bid & got our skull!
